Bangladesh resumes coal import from India

SYLHET, Sept 26/UNB:

Coal import from India through Tamabil land station will resume on October 1 after three months of suspension.

Bangladeshi importers suspended coal import from India three months ago as Indian exporters raised coal price from US$ 60 to $ 80 per tonne in July.

President of coal importers association in Sylhet Fala Uddin Ali Ahmed said they decided to resume coal import as the Indian exporters agreed to export coal at $ 75 per tonne.
